MakeupByMaggieO: Everyday Makeup Routine

First and foremost, thanks to those that voted on my poll. The highest vote went out for Everyday Makeup Routine so here you go!

Let me point out that this is my current makeup routine. These are my favorite products of the moment. Also, you'll notice that I didn't include foundation in these pictures. I actually don't wear foundation everyday except on special occasions. I don't need crazy coverage and plus my BB cream is already tinted. If you plan to try out my makeup routine just remember that you can switch any products around. By the way all the products I use will be listed on the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

My everyday makeup routine:

1. Cleanse: I start off with my usual skincare routine. Meaning I cleanse my face, tone it, and moisturize it. I also add chapstick to my lips which is totally necessary during the winter.

2. BB Cream: I apply about a quarter sized amount of BB cream in 5 sections of my face: cheeks, chin, forehead and nose. I use a medium sized duo fiber brush and apply it in circular motions.

3. Concealer: Using my ring finger I apply a few dots of concealer under my eyes due to the fact that I have dark circles. This helps brighten up the area and highlight it, too. I also apply it on my nose to highlight it for when I contour my nose. If I have any blemishes I will apply it on there, too.

4. Setting: I set my concealer with Ben Nye's luxury powder which also helps highlight. I then set the rest of my face using Makeup Forever's HD Powder by gently patting the product in with my brush.

5. Eyebrows: I fill in my eyebrows using BrowZing and an eyebrow pencil.

6. Prime: I ALWAYS prime my eyelids before applying eyeshadow. This helps my shadows stay in place while intensifying the color.

7. Eyeshadow: Using my Naked Palette I apply the color Sin on my entire lid. Next I apply Buck on my crease and blend it out with Naked. I then highlight under my brow and inner corner using Virgin. For my bottom lash line I use Buck and blend it out a with Naked. My goal here is to make my eyes look semi natural and wearable.

8. Liner and Mascara: I LOVE winged eyeliner. Always have. Always will. If you want to know how I line my eyes click HERE. After applying my liner on my lash line and waterline I then apply mascara.

9. Blush, Highlight and Contour: I contour my cheeks, forehead, nose, and jawline using NARS Laguna bronzer. This is my favorite because it has NO shimmer whatsoever which is perfect for contouring! I then highlight my cupids bow, nose, and above my cheek bones with NARS Highlighting Blush. Lastly, I apply my favorite blush which is MAC's Blush Baby.

10. Lips: I always change it up with lip colors, because I seriously can't wear the same lipstick everyday! For me It's like wearing the same underwear! Ew!
